Cannabis Grow Discovered and Closed Down in St James |
||
|
Officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team have successfully located and dismantled a significant cannabis cultivation at a property in the Browning Road area of St James. Acting on intelligence and local community concerns, officers attended the address and discovered an active cannabis grow containing 64 cannabis plants spread throughout the property. The grow was subsequently dismantled, with all plants seized and destroyed. The property has now been secured and the illegal operation closed down, preventing a substantial quantity of cannabis from reaching local communities. This result demonstrates our ongoing commitment to tackling drug-related crime and addressing the concerns of residents in St James. Cannabis cultivation is often linked to wider criminality and can pose significant risks to neighbouring properties due to unsafe electrical installations and fire hazards. We will continue to act on information provided by the public and work proactively to keep our neighbourhoods safe. The Neighbourhood Team would like to thank members of the public who continue to provide information and support local policing efforts. Anyone with information about suspected drug activity in their area is encouraged to report it to Greater Manchester Police via 101, online, or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
